Autumn Newsletter 2010(Cinderford Ruardean, Undy)
Welcme back to a new term of dancing, I hope you have all had a very enjoyable holiday & are ready to start dancing again after the long break!
The Show & Show Photos
First of all I would like to say a great big well done to everyone who was involved in the shows at the end of last term. I hear the children were all brilliant & put on a very enjoyable show. I would also like to say a big thank you to all of you who helped out back stage, we couldn’t have done it without you.
If you haven’t yet ordered your show photos, you only have a few days left to view them online. The photos are available to view & order from www.freedom-photography.co.uk & if you haven’t got the password it is Summer2010. Photos will be delivered shortly after the beginning of term.
IBW Workshop 12 September 2010
Following the success of the Day of Dance with Independent Ballet Wales last year, we are happy to say they are coming back again for another workshop to be held in the Leisure Centre 12th September for students age 8 & above. Autumn Term
After a break from syllabus work for the show last term, the Autumn Term sees us returning to syllabus work with some classes working towards exams at the end of term or next term. Should your child will be working towards an exam you will be notified shortly.
Since the show a number of children have expressed an interest in wanting to try some different classes, in addition to the ones they were doing before. If you would be interested in a trial period in another classes please let me know as we offer a 4-week trial for £15 without any obligation.
Uniform
As the new terms starts, I’m sure many of you will be in need of new uniform again after the summer growth spurts! Jill continues to supply our regulation uniform & other dancewear & will be coming to some classes over the next couple of weeks for you to try & buy whatever you need.
Also this term, to improve the ordering process, the dancewear is now available to buy directly from our website. Not everything is available on there yet, but soon will be. You can order for delivery by post (charges will apply) or for free delivery through your dance teacher, you will soon be given a “Free Delivery Code” to enter for this when ordering, just check out our “Shop” at www.a1danceacademy.com. Please also see our website for news, events & information throughout the year. In addition I will also be updating emergency notices on the website so if in doubt please check there for updates
Timetable & bills and information
The timetable for the term has now been updated & a copy is attached (also available to view on the website). We have tried to minimise the disruption as much as possible, but some classes have had to move to allow new classes to be added. If you have a problem with any of the changes that may affect you, please contact me straight away to see if there is an alternative or if any minor changes can be made, I will try to accommodate your needs as far as possible.
Regrettably, due to increases last year in hall fees and petrol, we have had to make some increases to the fees. Please ensure that payments are received by your teacher by the date on the bill to avoid late payment charges.
Finally, you may have noticed from the timetable that we are starting back a week later this year. This is because I am going to be moving house! As from the 3rd of September my address will be: 33
